Sorcery Sample Cards
Before the release of Sorcery: Contested Realm, Erik's Curiosa produced Sample Cards used for play-testing the game and given as a reward for Alpha Kickstarter backers and various social media influencers. These Sample Cards showed early mechanics and artwork for cards, offering a glimpse into the design process and serving as a rare historical artifact for fans.
Notable subsets of Sample Cards include Quick Magic, a mechanic akin to Instants in Magic: The Gathering, as well as cards that have never appeared in the released game, such as Severine Pineaux's Time Stop or Drew Tucker's Empyrean Net.
See the spreadsheet and gallery below to discover the wonder of Sample Cards!
Special thanks to Aric for his dedicated work in maintaining a comprehensive spreadsheet of all Sample Card discoveries, pop statistics, and data comparing old and new version of the cards.
